What makes our wedding videos different? |
|
We continuously strive for excellence. This evident in
our wedding videos. Our wedding DVD's are different. They are
creatively edited to be: fun, intimate, emotional, striking,
elegant, romantic, unique, fresh and compelling.
All our videos are filmed with full
high definition cameras to give
you that unsurpassed picture quality.
We don't stick to the dated formula that is used
by most wedding videographers. Our wedding
videos break this mould. They are NOT boring!
In fact we don't stick to a formula at all, as
each wedding is entirely different. We don't
just dump 3 hours of video onto a DVD, but we
spend many hours editing and fine-tuning your
video into a creative work of art that truly
reflects your individual style.
We specialise in alternative wedding videos in a
music video style, normally consisting of
several songs. You choose the music. The video
highlights all the tear-jerking, happy, intimate
and special moments, which are edited to music
and flows beautifully. Where appropriate we will
use audio of the event, like vows and special
moments during the speeches. The duration of
this video is between 6 and 40 minutes
long, depending on the package you select.
Some of the packages also include a short
summary video, which is exactly like a music
video. You choose which song to use and you star
in your own music video, tailored to suite your
specific style.
You may want to have the speeches in their
entirety or the complete ceremony. This is why
we also offer the "the premium package". For

Filming style |
|
We maintain an unobtrusive approach to
filming weddings, so as to capture the intimate moments
without changing the special atmosphere. For this reason we
make use of existing lighting where possible. Our shots aren’t
static, but have flow, energy and intimacy. |

You get to review the video |
|
We are not perfect and for this reason
we give you a review DVD before we make the final copies. This
gives you the chance to ensure that the video meets your
expectations. We only ask for final payment once you are
entirely happy with the DVD. |

Each wedding is unique. Therefore each DVD
package is structured differently. Below are our
basic packages with details of optional extras
below that. These should be used as guidelines,
so feel free to request any additions or changes
to these packages.

SHORT &
SWEET PACKAGE: |
Bride: “I want something short and sweet that
I can post on Facebook, but I don’t have a lot
to spend.”
If you want to capture all the important events,
in a very concise version then this is the
package for you. This is short, sweet, powerful
and to the point. We don’t do tedious, so no
fast forwarding is required. It is like a music
video, cut to a selection of music of your
choice. One benefit of this package is that it
can be filmed with only one camera, so it is
less obtrusive.
The couple that goes for this package wants
something modern, yet simplistic, and wants
something to show their friends, without boring
them to tears. The idea is to load this clip
onto your Facebook profile and do away with the
old school wedding DVD.
This video is between 6-8 minutes long and is
beautifully edited to music of your choice. We
start filming at the ceremony and wrap up after
the 1st dance.
Your video gets loaded onto the web, so you can
send a web link to your friends and they can
watch it online. You get a flash disc version of
the clip, which can be loaded on your iPhone, or
posted on your Facebook profile.
Please note: For a more “old school”
alternative, a DVD version for this package is
available should you wish, but does not come
standard with this package.

want to include all the details and all the
people, and I want 3 DVD copies.” This
package is more comprehensive, including all the
important details, all the emotions and all the
entertaining interaction between the guests.
This package is modern, yet simplistic, and it
captures all the details and the magic moments
that the bridal couple may have missed on the
day. It also includes coverage of the guests.
This DVD typically contains 3 menu options:
- highlights – a summary of the days
events edited to one song of your choice (3-5 minutes).
- entire day – all the magic moments
of the day summarized into a powerful and concise 30-40
minutes.
- scene selection – allows you to jump to
specific scenes from the entire day.
This package includes:
- an opening title sequence reflecting
your wedding style

- guests arriving and greeting

THE PREMIUM
PACKAGE: |

Bride: ”I have been planning this wedding
forever, and I really want a full record of
everything, including the entire ceremony and
all the speeches”
The DVD starts with the bride preparing for the
big day, including the full ceremony, all the
speeches and all the moments in between. This
DVD is normally about 1:30 to 2 hours long.
The benefit of this package is that you have a
concise version to show your friends, and you
also have a complete record of all the important
events on the day.
This DVD typically contains 5 menu options:
- highlights – a summary of the days
events edited to one song of your choice (3-5minutes)
- entire day – all the magic moments
of the day summarized into a powerful and concise 30-40
minutes.
- ceremony – the entire ceremony
- speeches – all the speeches
- scene selection – allows you to jump to
specific scenes from the entire day
This package includes:
- everything from the essentials package
(see package details above)
- the bride preparing for the big day
(where appropriate)
- the complete ceremony

I’VE
BLOWN THE BUDGET PACKAGE: |
Bride: “I’ve blown the entire budget, but I
really want to capture the day on video, can you
help?”
Don’t worry – we are familiar with this
situation. Video is often considered an
afterthought, but long after the confetti has
settled it is one of the things you treasure the
most – even above the photographs! We honestly
hear this all the time from previous clients, as
they really get to relive the moments.
We understand this, and would love to afford you
the opportunity to still have a video. For this
reason we offer to at least capture the day
professionally, and when you are cash flush
again, then you can go ahead and have the
footage edited. Most of the package costs go
into the edit, as this is the part that takes
the most time (between 40-80 hours!). So by
removing the major portion of the costs, we can
offer this alternative.
Please note – with this package
there is no deliverable! We can offer you an
unedited copy of all the footage, so please let
us know if this is what you would like, as this
needs to be discussed.
When selecting this package it is important to
decide beforehand which package you ultimately
want, as this will help you to decide which
initial option to select below:

Selected guests are interviewed
throughout the day. They are asked to comment on the evening
and on the couple.
- Entire speeches

- Photo slide show
A photo slide show, or photo montage
with music can be added from any photos taken by the
photographer on the day, with the permission of the
photographer.
- Online Video
Your highlights video hosted on the
internet, in lower resolution. This is great to send to
friends.
- USB Flash drive
Your highlights video compressed to fit
on a USB flash drive, so you can carry it around to show
friends, or post onto your Facebook profile. This price
excludes the USB drive, which you need to provide.
- Engagement session
A love story montage of the Bride and
Groom, along with titles, and edited to music. Photos,
Slides, VHS footage and old film material can all be used to
create an interesting opening sequence.
- Additional camera
For more complete coverage you may opt
for an additional cameraman.

Additional information |
Why would I need two cameras?
During the speeches and the ceremony it is
important to focus on the person delivering the
speech / sermon. This is the task of one camera,
the 2nd camera focuses on the reaction shots of
everyone else, like the laughter, crying etc…
This is what adds life to the video. Without
this camera the video would be a mere record of
events without any emotion.
Music used on the DVD
We do ask that you select the music to be used
on the DVD. We typically ask for 10 songs, and
these should be any songs that are played during
formal occasions on the day, like the wedding
march, the entrance song, the 1st dance, etc.
Start and End times:
Videographers arrive 1 hour before the start of
the ceremony or during the bridal preparations,
depending on the package chosen. We have found
that by 10 pm all the formalities are usually
complete and the guests are having a good time,
so all the special moments are covered. If you
require our services after 10pm then an
additional charge per hour, per person
is chargeable. This arrangement can be made on
the wedding day.
Payment Terms:
We require a non-refundable 50%
retainer to secure the date with the balance due on delivery
of the DVD’s.
